Mark Klinger, BS, DVM, DACLAM

Mark Klinger BS, DVM, DACLAM, is a board-certified laboratory animal veterinarian with over 25 years of experience in laboratory animal medicine and research, animal research resource management, and animal facility design.  Before joining PsychoGenics, Mark served as Director for the Division of Lab Animal Resources and as Research Scientist at the Nathan Kline Institute, NYSOMH as well as Clinical Professor of Neuroscience, Center for Neural Sciences, and Director for the Office of Veterinary Resources, New York University (NYU). While at NYU Mark also served as postdoctoral fellow in Neuroscience at NYU Langone.  Prior to those positions, Dr. Klinger served as Director for the Center for Laboratory Animal Care, Assistant Professor of Surgery, University of Connecticut Health Center and prior as Director for the Department of Animal Care, Institute for Health Sciences, St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, and Assistant Professor of Comparative Anesthesiology, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Mark had the honor of serving as the 2010 President of the American Society of Laboratory Animal Practitioners (ASLAP) and served as aaalaci ad hoc consultant for 10 years. He was awarded 2012 Veterinarian of the Year by the Metropolitan NY branch of AALAS. One of his most memorable accomplishments was the establishment of the first aaalaci accredited University neuroscience program in Shanghai, China (NYU-Shanghai).
